TELeurope.eu is a social networking platform for technology enhanced learning (TEL) researchers, teachers, industry, policy makers, and continuing professional development launched in December 2009. It is based on the Elgg platform and allows users to mash up widgets on four different levels - their profile, events, the landing page, and a private mashup space. Users can select widgets to display from over 200 available on the widgets.open.ac.uk site and customize their experience on each page through a plug and play widget system built into the site.
