women were allowed to wear a “palla.”
Female prostitutes (current or former),
slaves and freedwomen, on the other
hand, were prohibited by Roman law
from wearing the “palla.”

34. NATURE
Judge among yourselves. Is it proper for a woman to
pray to God with her head uncovered? 14 Does not even
nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a
dishonor to him? 15 But if a woman has long hair, it is a
glory to her; for her hair is given to her for [ANTI –

HAIR AND GENITAL FUNCTION
Hair is primarily hollow, and grows primarily from either
male or female reproductive fluid (semen) flowing into it
and congealing. Since hollow body parts create a
vacuum and attract fluid, the hollow hair attracts semen.
Hair grows the most from the head because that is
where the semen is produced, or at least stored. So men
have more hair on their body, because they have more
semen. ~ Hippocrates and Aristotle

37. PERIBOLAOU
MAN’S HAIR AND GENITAL FUNCTION
The male genitals serve as weights that draw the semen
downward from the head so it can be ejected during
intercourse. If a man has long hair, it will retain much or
all of his semen, making it unavailable to his genitals for
release during intercourse.
It is a shame for a man to have long hair because, by
nature, the man is supposed to release semen, not
receive or retain it. Long hair essentially says “I want to
receive or retain semen.”

WOMAN’S HAIR AND GENITAL FUNCTION
The nature of woman is to draw up the semen, and
congeal it into the fetus. The long hollow hairs increase
the suction power of the hollow uterus. As such, a
woman's hair was considered a functioning part of her
genitals.

The contrast is genital functions between a women's
hair and man’s testicles. A woman has hair INSTEAD OF
testacles. So Paul asks “Judge for yourselves, is it
proper for a wife to communicate that she is
“available” while she is praying to God?

Or did the word of God come originally from you [your culture] ?
Or was it you [your culture] only that it reached? 37 If anyone
thinks himself [themselves] to be a prophet or spiritual [thinks
they know the best way for spiritual gifts to function in Corinth],
let him acknowledge that the things which I write to you are the
commandments of the Lord. 38 But if anyone is ignorant [does not
want to understand], let him be [continue to stay] ignorant.

“Several ancient manuscripts place these verses [34-35]
not in this location but as an addendum at the end of the
chapter, and at least one ancient manuscript includes
markings suggesting that the scribe considered these
words to be a gloss inserted into the text. If these
sentences are an addition to Paul’s letter, however, the
addition must have occurred at an early stage, since all
extant manuscripts contain these words either between
verses 33 and 36 or following verse 40.”

61. PARAPHRASE
Let the domineering woman be peaceable when she is learning,
with all submission. I do not permit the woman to teach false
knowledge, or to dominate her husband, but to be harmonious.
Because the truth is: Adam was formed first, and then Eve. And
Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived fell into
transgression. Nevertheless, if this woman has sex with her
husband and bears children, she can still be saved, but the
married couple will need to continue in “the faith”, love,
holiness, and self-control.
