When it comes to bidding on a keyword, you need to choose the right keyword match type, which enables Google Adwords platform to know how aggressively or restrictively you want it to match your ads to searched keywords. Each keyword uses a matching option to help control which keyword searches should trigger your ad. You can choose multiple matching options for a keyword. There are four different keyword match types. I will explain each keyword match type and how they differ from each other.

Selection of right Keyword plays a vital role in

When it comes to bidding on a keyword, you need to choose the right
keyword match type
Each keyword uses a matching option to help control which keyword
searches should trigger your ad.
4. Broad match which enables PPC advertiser to reach the widest
audience to a specific keyword.
When using broad match, your ad will appear whenever a user
search query includes any word in your key phrase, in any order
if your keyword is “black purse,” your ad could appear for
multiple search queries, such as “buy black purse,” “purse that are
black,” “purse black,” — Ads are also shown on the close
synonyms of purse & black
(II) Broad Match

Modified broad match is the middle ground between broad match and
the more restrictive match types
To modify your broad match keywords you simply add the “+” sign in
front one or more words.
now our keyword “+black +purse” would be eligible for searches like
“buy black purse” and “purse that are black.” But it would not be
eligible for searches like “black wallet” or “black handbag” or “dark
purses”
6. It gives higher level of control than modified broad match.
Your ad will only appear when a user queries your key phrase
using your keywords in the exact order you enter them, but there might
be other words either before or after that phrase.
To modify your keywords to phrase match you simply add the “—“ sign
at start & end of the word.
now our keyword “black purse” would be eligible for searches like “buy
black purse” and “black purse online” But will not show on “purses that
are black” “black wallet” or “black handbag” or “dark purses”
(IV) Phrase Match
7. Exact match allows your ad to show only for searches which use that
exact phrase, and no other words.
To modify your keywords in to exact match you simply add the [—–]
sign at start & end of the word.
now your ad on keyword [black purse] would be eligible for search
query contain black purse only. It will not show on any of the other
search terms or query.
