Two of the very best things
about Edmodo…
Secure class codeAnnouncment Feature
Attached link to video
Sample Lesson Activity
Sample Quiz Assigned
Using videos with Edmodo
• Edmodo does not have its own video viewer
• Embedding the code to your videos is easy
• Your will need to check a video viewer based on your school technology
abilities
• Youtube.com – blocked on many campuses (especially elementary)
• Teachertube.com and SchoolTube.com are viable alternatives
• I use Knowmia.com for a lot of my lessons
• New application – edpuzzle.com allows embedded comments, video editing,
and formative assessments linked to the video
Edmodo help solve workflow problems
• Students download documents to applications like
Word
• Save their copy and make changes, e.g. adding their
own material
• Upload changed document to Edmodo for teacher
to review or grade
What do you think?
type in the chat window!
• What information stood out to you from
The presentation?
• What questions do you have?
• “I hope to explore.…”
• “I learned….”
• “ I want to try….”
• “I want to know….”
