) The relative humidity in the spinning department cannot exceed a certain amount due to an increased risk of lapping caused by the stickiness of fibres, which causes difficulties in the drafting process. However, it is necessary to maintain a certain amount of moisture in the yarn - this not only improves its performance, but also improves the market value of the yarn. With its innovative XO technology, Xorella's yarn conditioning products ensure superior quality of yarn.

XORELLA– yarn conditioning solutions
A.T.E. brings the world's best technology for yarn conditioning – XORELLA, the
yarn conditioning expert – to Indian customers.
Established in Switzerland in 1967, XORELLA is specialised in the design and
manufacturing of steam setting and conditioning equipment for yarns and fabrics.
XORELLA, which is a part of CHTC Fong's Industries Group, is renowned for its
superior quality products and excellent service, and is committed to continuous
innovation, setting high standards in a demanding market. The latest generation
XORELLAproducts combine sustainable technology that includes lowest energy
and water consumption, with a unique indirect finishing treatment to meet the
lowest process costs and highest quality requirements. For most customers,
XORELLAis the “first choice” when it comes to vacuum steam treatment.
Importance of yarn conditioning
During the spinning process, fibres in the yarn lose a part of their original moisture content. This alters the yarn properties
and hence running behaviour in subsequent processes. Yarn moisture is influenced by moisture in the atmosphere during
the spinning process. A high relative humidity in the spinning department reduces static electricity and dust creation, but
the risk of lapping caused by stickiness of the fibres increases, thereby causing difficulties in the drafting process. Thus,
relative humidity in the spinning department cannot exceed a certain limit.
However, this usually leads to less than the amount of moisture in the yarn that is desirable. The fibre strength and
elongation increases proportionately with the moisture content, and helps the yarn to attain the standard moisture regain
value of the fibre, which improves its performance in subsequent processes. Yarns sold with lower moisture content than
the standard value get a lower price. Hence, moisture needs to be added to the yarn post spinning by yarn conditioning.
Yarn conditioning is an important process, as it not only improves yarn quality, but also helps the yarn fetch better value in
the market.

A.T.E.'s impeccable after-sales-service
One of the most important aspect for any product's performance in the field is the after sales service.
A.T.E.'s fully trained service engineers, strategically placed at important locations in India, are at your
call to provide you with prompt services at all times.
The right type of steam, adequate steam penetration depth,
and steam temperature accuracy, together with assured
reproducibility, are the foundations for the correct treatment
of textile products. Steam directly injected from an external
boiler exceeds the treatment temperature and can lead to
thermal damage of the material.
There are three different types of steam, but only one is
suitable for gentle high quality treatment of textiles:
Wet steam – contains water drops and is visible. It leads to
water spots, damages textile products and provides
insufficient penetration.
Superheated steam – is dry and therefore a poor heat
conductor. Its lack of moisture makes superheated steam
unusable for treating textile products.
Saturated steam (XO technology) – is transparent, has
optimum moisture content and is a very good heat
conductor. It is most suitable for conditioning and steaming
of textiles.
Why XORELLA
Only XORELLA's unique combination of 100% saturated
steam, indirect heating system and intermediate vacuum
ensures gentle and homogenous treatment at lowest
energy consumption and results in superior quality of the
yarns.
The XO-steaming process ensures uniform distribution of
moisture throughout the package. All physical values of the
yarn are even throughout the package. Conditioning does
not change the yarn in any other way; it just adds moisture
to the fibres which was lost during the spinning process.
Customised solutions from XORELLA
The very first cubical machine manufactured by XORELLA
in 1999 was equipped with transport automation and many
more installations followed since then in various countries
around the world. Very recently XORELLA supplied and
commissioned the biggest machine of the XO SELECT
series ever made – a machine with a capacity of approx 6.5
tons per batch – the world's biggest conditioning vessel.
Based on its vast experience, XORELLA can offer tailor
made solutions – perfectly integrated in automation lines
from suppliers like Neuenhauser, Electro-Jet and many
others.
