There are far less videos indexed within search engines than there are web pages. The first thing that I think is important to mention is that YouTube leverages many community based factors in determining rankings for videos Aside from the title, description and tags, YouTube also considers things like…. Views, Ratings, # people that have shared the video, etc…
Lets start with some tips for when you are uploading your video to YouTube.. Titles are still very important . You want to include your main keywords in the title of your video. That being said, there is a tradeoff in that you still want the titles to be enticing for users as this is what they see when they are presented with results for a query YouTube allows for up to 5000 characters in the description field – Use as much of that space as makes sense… This isn't about spamming the field with keywords, but use the space. For tags – optimize and de-optimize . First – don’t spam with your keywords – YouTube can detect this.. When I say de-optimize , include, for example, your brand in the keywords . This will help increase the chances that your videos will show up in the related results. Because YouTube does consider community factors – enable sharing, commenting, embedding, etc… Lastly – I would suggest for YouTube in particular – consider manually uploading to Youtube , for a couple reasons. There are more characters available in manual uploading than in some tools out there. In order to take advantage of YouTube – you really should be an active member and active in your account
