medicines. These can be taken
orally or can be used as
suppositories.
3. Typesof Capsules
Hard Gelatin
Capsule: These are
typically made using
gelatin and contain dry,
powdered ingredients or
miniature pellets. These
are made in two halves: a
lower-diameter “body”
that is filled and then
sealed using a higher-
diameter “cap”. These are
made from aqueous
solution of gelling agents.
Soft Gelatin Capsule:
These are primarily used
for oils and for active
ingredients that are
dissolved or suspended in
oils. These are also made
from aqueous solution of
gelling agents

7. For Hard Gelatin Capsule:
Humidity: Not more than 25% RH
Tempertaure: Not more than 25 degree celsius.
For Soft Gelatin Capsule:
Humidity: 20-25% RH
Temperature:25 degree celsius.
NOTE: Humidity and temperature needs to be
maintained even at the end of the day when the work
isn’t being carried out. When machine is operated for
filling, the operator should wear rubber gloves, nose
mask and head covers.
