- 13. Test Apache installation: Open any web browser and type http://localhost in the address bar and press Enter Feather icon on System Tray with a green arrow indicates apache service running. Feather with a red dot indicates that apache service is stopped
- 14. Open httpd.conf file with any text editor
- 17. add at the end the following code: LoadModule php5_module “c:/php/php5apache2_2.dll” AddType application/x-httpd-php .php PHPIniDir “c:/php”
- 18. Save the file
- 19. Extract Php files to C:hp
- 22. Extracted files in C:hp folder
- 24. Paste it in the same folder
- 25. Rename it to php.ini
- 27. Open php.ini with a text editor
- 28. Delete semicolon (;) at the beginning of include_path line
- 30. Add “C:rogram Filespache Software Foundationpache2.2tdocs” as doc_root
- 32. Add “C:hpxt” as extension_dir
- 34. Delete Semicolon (;) at the beginning of line extension=php_gd2.dll
- 36. Delete Semicolon (;) at the beginning of line extension=php_mbstring.dll
- 38. Delete Semicolon (;) at the beginning of line extension=php_mysql.dll
- 40. Delete Semicolon (;) at the beginning of line and add “C:EMP” for session.save_path
- 42. Save the file and close
- 43. Set Environment Variable for Php Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel
- 44. In Control Panel, double click on “System”. In System Properties window, Click on “Advanced” Tab and Click on “Environmental Variables”
- 45. In “Environmental Variables” window, Click on Path variable under “ System Variable” and click “ Edit” button
- 46. Add C:hp; at the end of Variable value. Click OK Click OK for Environment Variables And System Properties
- 47. Test Php Installation Open Notepad and type the following code: <html> <body> <?php phpinfo() ?> </body> </html>
- 48. Save the file as test.php in C:rogram Filespache Software FoundationApache2.2tdocs
- 50. Restart Apache: Right Click on feather icon on System Tray and click on “Open Apache Monitor”
- 51. Click Restart and then Exit
- 52. Open web browser and type http://localhost/test.php in the address bar and press Enter. The php information page appears Delete the file test.php soon after confirming about php installation. Do not leave it in web server.
- 53. Install Mysql
- 58. Change destination folder to c:ysql
- 63. Mysql Server Instance Configuration
- 65. Check this
- 66. Enter password for the root user
- 70. Open Command Prompt Type cmd and click OK
- 71. Change directory to c:ysqlin
- 72. Enter mysql as root user
- 75. Create the new database ‘joomla’
- 78. Exit the command prompt
- 79. Extract Joomla files to web server
- 80. Extract to C:rogram Filespache Software Foundationpache2.2tdocsoomla
- 82. Open Web browser Enter http://localhost/joomla or http://localhost/joomla/installation/index.php
- 86. GNU GP License. Click Next
- 87. Enter Host name, database username & password, and database name
- 89. FTP Settings not required for installation on Windows. Click Next.
- 90. Enter Site Name, admin’s email id, a new Password for admin. Click “Install Sample Data” (recommended for beginners)
- 91. Sample data installed successfully. Click Next
- 92. Joomla installation complete. Remove “installation” directory from Web Server & then click Site or Admin
- 93. Open ‘joomla’ folder in web server & remove “installation” directory
- 94. Click “Site” to view Joomla installation site or “Admin” to login as Administrator
- 95. Newly installed Joomla site
- 96. Click “Administrator” to login as Admin
- 97. Enter joomla admin username & password and click “Login”
- 99. Joomla site administrator’s control panel
