There is a revolution in creative
communications and design, largely facilitated
by mobile technologies. Although certain
barriers pose a challenge, public sector
departments need to focus on workplace skills,
training and development to stay ahead.
In October 2015, Adobe launched a survey
of 175 public sector employees in the United
States and Canada asking them about their
experiences with creative communications,
design and mobile technologies. The
following infographics show the results
of that online survey.

Creativity in the public sector workplace 94% say the creative industry has changed more in the last 5 years than in the previous 50 years 91% say creative communications and design are critical in today’s digital world There is a revolution in creative communications and design, largely facilitated by mobile technologies. Although certain barriers pose a challenge, public sector departments need to focus on workplace skills, training and development to stay ahead. In October 2015, Adobe launched a survey of 175 public sector employees in the United States and Canada asking them about their experiences with creative communications, design and mobile technologies. The following infographics show the results of that online survey. Yet, barriers are keeping public sector employees from seeing the full benefit of creative tools LENGTHY APPROVAL PROCESSES STIFLE CREATIVITY 70% AGREE EMPLOYEES ARE PRESSURED TO BE PRODUCTIVE RATHER THAN CREATIVE 53% AGREE Top 4 Recommendations 1 Hire skilled staff 2 Invest in training 3 Give staff the license to innovate 4 Leverage creative tools Ask employees to think outside the box.
