2. The objective of the project is to design , implement , monitor
and evaluate a grid connected photovoltaic project
It will also determine the reducing greenhouse gas emission
by the use of grid connected photovoltaic (PV) power system
It will demonstrating the technical and economic viability of
this new power technology to supplement traditional sources
of electric power
3. “ANALYSIS OF SOLAR ENERGY BASED
STREET LIGHT WITH AUTO TRACKING SYSTEM”
C.BHUVANESWARI1, R.RAJESWARI2, C.KALAIARASAN3
The solar cells operate on the photo-electric energy by using solar cells
principle. The energy from the photovoltaic cells is used to switch on the
lights
Tracking Arrays
4. “SolarCharged Stand Alone Inverter” M. Vasugi
Int. Journal of Engineering Research and Applications
Basic principle is that the energy produced during the day time, which
was not consumed by loads, is saved in batteries. Saved energy can be
used at night or during the days with bad weather conditions. Batteries in
photovoltaic systems are often charged / discharged
5. ”SOLAR ENERGY GRID INTEGRATION
SYSTEMS (SEGIS) PROACTIVE INTELLIGENT
ADVANCES FOR PHOTOVOTAIC SYSTEMS “
Ward Bower,Scott Kuszmaul,Sig Gonzalez,Abbas Akhil
Highly integrated, innovative, advanced inverters, new
controllers and related balance-of-system (BOS) elements for
residential and commercial solar energy applications are
being developed in the program.
9. Strength
•Easier to install as they do not require a
battery system
•Effective utilization of generated power
because there are no storage losses involved
Weakness
•Connecting to the grid poses many
protection related challenges.
•Too high levels of grid connected PV result
in problems like relay desensitization ,
nuisance tripping and interference with
automatic recloser
Opportunities
•Homes , Schools , Industries etc…
Threats
10. I am extremely grateful and remain indebted to our guide Mr.
