objective of social media are reaping the
benefits, while companies that are

justifying the time and money spent on

herd when using social media marketing into

returns on the time spent on social media

being consistent, patient, authentic and

media campaign without a plan
• This is one of the most common mistakes people
do. Before you start a social media marketing
campaign, you should plan well in advance. Your
first step should be to create a strategic plan for
your operations. You should know about your
target audience, how your strategy ties up your
audience, what are the main objectives of social
media and so on. Take enough time to compare
your social media strategies to fill the gaps. Once
you are ready with your pan, you should determine
who is going to take the responsibilities of
managing your social marketing campaign.
Mistake 2 – Posting the social
media posts poorly
• Start-up companies often make the
mistake of not knowing the interests and
behaviour of their customers. You should

manner, when more people are likely to
