2. Internship at Insight Outreach
I spent my 2 and half months at Insight Outreach, its one
of the leading rural market in south India.
I couldn’t be more grateful for having received this
chance.
I got to do and learn so many new things while I was
here.

agency is firmly grounded and well versed with rural

We have a keen insight into what influences the

What are their stories that ultimately result in them
making a choice of buying a particular product.
4. What does my company do?
Its basically an rural marketing agency:
Core Competence

Rural OOH
Innovative brand building - effective activation
approaches :
Jaatras & Melas

5. My Work Profile
While joining the agency, I had one basic aim in my mind
that I wanted to understand the functioning of an entire
Rural marketing agency and not restrict myself to one
specific department.
As it was my first internship, I was excited and
apprehensive at the same time regarding my office
environment and the way I would be perceived by other
employees.
But all my apprehensions never came into being as I was
fortunate enough to work under the direct mentorship of
our sales and marketing director: Rohanth Thota who
was not only kind and knowledgeable but also knew how
to teach a trainee of an internship program which I
experienced the first time.
6. During my first day of joining itself I was treated as an
active member of Insight Outreach which made me give
my best performance every time I took a task.
On the first week of my internship I was in urban market
department wherein I had to do mapping, finding out our
potential clients, making calls and asking for meetings.
Later on I was sifted to Rural market, and worked under
sales and marketing department, here also I was initially
doing client mapping, attending Board meetings, making
minutes of meeting, creating database for the company,
making cold calls, finding out ways to promote our own
company, marketing on social medias like facebook etc.
7. What I like to take back with me?
My Experience –
How to communicate in an organization
How to present myself in board meetings
How to talk to clients
How to make cold calls
How to do client mapping
How to do marketing and promotions
How to reach rural markets
How to find out potential customers
Where to find potential buyers
Touch points for marketing products
8. The industry exposure that I received during my
internship will always be valuable guide for me in the
future. The working environment at the agency was one
of encouragement, warmth, innovation and synergy.
These qualities made Insight Outreach a stand apart in
its sector. However like any other organization it faced a
few shortfalls which I believe if improved upon can bring
Insight Outreach to even greater heights at the national
Rural marketing sector.
My internship had been one of the most fruitful
experiences a trainee would wish to have once in his or
her lifetime.
Insight Outreach not only gave me the experience
required to face the industry competition but also gave
me some really good teacher that I will cherish for an
entire lifetime.
The amount of dedication and professionalism I saw in
the employees working at the agency motivated me.
9. Conclusion
In great esteem and with indebt gratitude I wish to thank
my company guide Mr. Rohanth Thota, who literally
spared no pains in helping me out round the clock in the
successful completion of my project work.
I feel very fortunate enough to get such an encouraging
guide who continuously counseled me and helped me
accomplish my project well in time.
Last but not the least, I take this opportunity to thank
other staff members of the Insight Outreach for making
my entire journey at Insight Outreach extremely
pleasurable.
