2. • At the start of the trailer institutional information is used
straight away so the audience are able to associate the
production company with other films they have seen. This will
instantly draw the audience in to watch the film depending on
their experience of the other films.
• The use of the screeching whilst showing the institutional
information gives a hint to what the film is about and what is
too come.
• Quick fades of different blurred images, including a close up
of a watch and then finally ending with an extreme close up of
the main characters eyes, shows the passing of time, from
either the future or past to the present. This is shown whilst
the screeching noise increases in loudness.
3. • An establishing shot of train is also shown, with a pan shot
that has been sped up, with a fast cut to the male pulling his
head away from the window, this suggests that the character
may have been asleep and the blurred images were being
dreamt.
• Fast cross dissolves and fades are used to switch between
footage and phrases to help the audience to understand
what is happening.
• It is also help along by a voice over that is used in the full film
to explain to the character what is happening, this then
makes the audience feel like it is them that is being spoken
to.
4. • A black screen creates a pause in which allows the audience
to understand/work out what has happened.
• Establishing shot of the city is shown so the audience know
where the film is set.
• Fast cuts between action shots create the sense of intensity
and determination that the main character has, drawing the
audience in.
• It ends with the date of release and further institutional
information, which increase the audiences knowledge of who
made it and when they can see it.
