The team has collected over 128,000 images that were each evaluated by 3-7 ophthalmologists from a panel of 54 ophthalmologists. These images were fed to a deep learning algorithm for creating a model to detect Diabetic Retinopathy. The predictions from Google Brain’s neural network algorithm were so close that it is considered to be on par with the diagnosis of experienced ophthalmologists. By comparing a new medical images to similar images available in the database, it becomes easier for the doctors to diagnose a patient. As the number of records in the database increases, the database can become comprehensive and exhaustive resulting into an improvement in accuracy of a diagnosis based on the database. In Xanadu timeline store there is only a “latest” block along the linear timeline, so the new transfer block must link to just this latest one without any intervening block. At any time the current owner of a digital asset can sign a transfer block to any other user, and the Xanadu database’s role is to act as a fault tolerant recording system of these transactions. An asset management system built on top of aXanadu is able to cope with many thousands of asset ownership changes per second, while still providing the tamper-proof semantics of a distributed ledger. Inherently auditable trails of ownership or business actions/transformations, with complex querying possible using Xanadu not available to pure blockchain implementations. A transfer of ownership like this requires the signature of the current owner (and knowing their private key), and the transfer blocks all the way from the creation block of the asset can be traced and verified. Inside Xanadu the timeline data model holds all the transaction history (which is a cryptographically securely signed blockchain) under a simple "Key" that is the name of the asset (in this case "Ford Prefect 999"). If you need to verify things, then you pull all the data blocks out of Xanadu and simply recompute the SHA256 signatures using the public keys of owners at any link in the chain. A potential application can be a medical image data market place for sharing, transaction, exploration for AI in relation to Xanadu Based CBIR System for automated diseases classification & diagnosis.
