2. ABSTRACT
Solar tracking systems are the most appropriate and proven
technology to increase the efficiency of solar panels by
keeping the panels aligned with suns position with the help
of interfacing IC and Geared motor. In this project an
interfacing IC is used to make the system as automatic
solar tracker. Geared motor helps to adjust the axis of the
solar panel both vertical (X) and horizontal (Y) position
without any sensor and programmable IC unit.

so can track the Sun's apparent
motion exactly anywhere in the
world.

10. COMPARATOR
A comparator is a device that compares two voltages
or current and outputs a digital signal indicating which is
larger. It has two analog input terminals -v and +v and one
binary digital output v0
11. MOTOR DRIVING CIRCUIT L293D
L16-pin IC which can control a set of two DC motors
simultaneously in any direction. It means that you can control
two DC motor with a single L293D IC. Dual H-bridge 293D is a
typical Motor driver or Motor Driver IC which allows DC motor
to drive on either direction. L293D is a Motor Driver integrated
circuit (IC).
14. GEARED MOTOR
Two geared motors in X
and Y direction
Used to transmit torque to
the panel arrangement

16. USES
For solar photovoltaic (PV) panel applications
For solar thermal dish/engine applications
17. From our project, it helps to increase the efficiency
of output power up to 30 to 45% without using sensor
and programmable IC unit. This project can able to use
illiterate people also.
There is no requirement of technician for solving
problem occurring in the project reinstallation after
updating the advancement process in solar energy
conversion system. Here we can easily upgrading the
project for future enhancement also
