Team Assignment: Each member in your Learning Team needs to individually interview one of the following: a
school psychologist, school social worker, special educator, school nurse or school speech therapist and find
out what assessment tools they use to determine current levels of functioning for children being assessed for
special education services. Ask them what they feel are the strengths and weaknesses of the assessments that
are commonly used in their profession. Then report your findings to your learning team members. I want each
person in your Learning Team to interview a different school professional. For example: if Team Member One
interviews a school psychologist then Team Member Two needs to choose one of the other professionals.
Synthesized what was learned from the interviews into a 1000 word paper. Your final project should be posted
to the Assignments Newsgroup.
