What is the purpose?
Addressing shortcomings of the traditional doubleblind review process
• Contribution to a more open and transparent
scientific dialogue
• Support to authors & expert reviewers with a
more diversified perspective on the manuscript
• Support to a ‘hybrid‘ model combining doubleblind and open review
Local partners
.... can be groups of any kind with an interest in
theory & practice of innovation and quality in the
field of learning
For example

• Ph.D. or post-doc colloquia
• Workshop organizers at thematically related
conferences
What type of event can be organised?
Duration, location, format and selection of papers for
discussion are up to you! You can shape the
„Commentathon“ according to your ideas.
Example 1
Discussing papers as seminar task (group of 15 learners).
• One session of 2-3 hours is dedicated to comments on
INNOQUAL papers
• Alternatetively, students comment asynchronously
across a timeframe of 2 weeks & discuss face-to-face in
a shorter session
What type of event can be organised?
Duration, location, format and selection of papers for
discussion are up to you! You can shape the

  • 2. What is a „Commentathon“? Local events dedicated to open comments on online discussion papers Latest submissions to INNOQUAL Under scrutiny by two selected reviewers Organized by INNOQUAL supporters AND Already available online for comments by the scientific community
  • 3. What is a „Commentathon“?   • 4. What is the purpose? Addressing shortcomings of the traditional doubleblind review process • Contribution to a more open and transparent scientific dialogue • Support to authors & expert reviewers with a more diversified perspective on the manuscript • Support to a ‘hybrid‘ model combining doubleblind and open review
  • 5. Local partners .... can be groups of any kind with an interest in theory & practice of innovation and quality in the field of learning For example • Research centers • Ph.D. or post-doc colloquia • Workshop organizers at thematically related conferences
  • 6. What type of event can be organised? Duration, location, format and selection of papers for discussion are up to you! You can shape the „Commentathon“ according to your ideas. Example 1 Discussing papers as seminar task (group of 15 learners). • One session of 2-3 hours is dedicated to comments on INNOQUAL papers • Alternatetively, students comment asynchronously across a timeframe of 2 weeks & discuss face-to-face in a shorter session
  • 7. What type of event can be organised? Duration, location, format and selection of papers for discussion are up to you! You can shape the „Commentathon“ according to your ideas. You will be an official partner of the upcoming issue of INNOQUAL The co-operation will be highlighted in the editorial Get real practice for your (Ph.D.) student group Debating newest insights from research and practice in the field of innovation and quality in the field of learning
