2. Introduction
• The founder of the NRI Academy of Sciences, Dr. AppaRao
Mukkamala served as the president of Associated Radiologists of
Flint, PC, until July 2014. Now he continues as a physician member
of the company. Dr. AppaRao Mukkamala also helped Dr. Sumathi
Mukkamala establish Chinmaya Vijaya Orphanage.
An orphanage for girls in Chinmaya village in India, Chinmaya
Vijaya encompasses five acres of donated land. The manager and
staff who care for the children live in Sevak Nivas, a building with
three floors.
The Gargi building, named after the world's first female
philosopher, includes three floors of dormitories for children in LKG
through sixth class, a room for sick children, and bathroom
facilities.
3. Chinmaya Vijaya Orphanage
• Another female philosopher’s name is used for the Mytreyi
building, which houses children in seventh through ninth
standard on its two floors, as well as offering computer and
game rooms.
In addition to serving girls, Chinmaya Vijaya also provides
housing for aging persons who choose to live alone. The
Brahma Vrinda building serves them with individual units
containing a bedroom, bathroom, sitting room, and pantry.
The Chinmaya Vijaya campus also holds the Annahshala and
Deva Shabha building, with the dining hall on the ground
floor and two additional floors. The upper floors hold a
convention hall, stage, and library.
