2. For my finished music video I wanted to
receive feedback in order to find out what
the audience liked and went well about the
finished version in order to see what worked
and what didn’t. Also I wanted to find out
how I improved from the first draft and how I
would improve it further if I had more time.
this is the feedback I received
3. What the audience liked
The cuts where smooth
The lip syncing was effective
The cuts between the same person performing then acting in the narrative
work well to display the linkage between the band and narrative
Grey scale and colour looked very professional and effective
The aspect ratio and over all quality was very professional
A very convincing performance televised bard and commercial
exhibitionist
It meets the demands of the record label very well focusing on the band
with close ups showing each individual member including eye contact
4. What I improved from the draft
The colour correction and filters make the narrative easy to understand with
the grey scale representing the dead character and the saturated colours
showing the band singling them away from the narrative
The reverse at the end also helps bring the narrative to an end
The intertextual references are better as there are traits from the digipak
which feature in the music video for example the actors wear the same
clothes.
5. What I would do with more time
If I had more time I would created a ghostly effect for the dead character.
In my music video whenever the dead character is on scree the video is in
grey scale. However I wanted to make him become a ghost using key
framing on Sony Vegas.
I would have also liked to have two cameras in place so that I had
alternative angles to each shot. Unfortunately I only had access to one
camera and one tripod.
