• Sketch Design
• Trace your hand into your sketchbook.
• Divide the hand shape into 3-5 sections.
• Fill each section with zentangle patterns.
• Use Google image search for inspiration!

3. How to Sgraffito through Glaze
• You need: hand dish, sponge, soft brush, white glaze, toothpick
• Wipe the dust off your dish with a damp sponge.
• Glaze your hand with 3 layers of white glaze.
• Wipe excess glaze off the foot.
• Use toothpick to divide into sections.
• Use toothpick to sgraffito the patterns.

4. Fussing & Finishing
Tips & Tricks:
• Scratch all the way through the glaze to show
the clay underneath.
• Make some lines thicker than others.
• Sgraffito some whole shapes to create contrast.
• Lastly -- apply 1 thick, even coat of clear glaze
on top of the design.
