Scheduling Your Holiday In Advance Can Make You Wealthy
1. Scheduling Your Holiday In Advance Can Make You Wealthy
The title is deceptive, it may not really make you rich
wealthy, but will definately help save you some hard
earned cash :)
Last time I spoke briefly on the top most golden rule of
travelling - Travel light. I also told you to take a look at
money belt bearing in mind the 1st golden rule. I do
hope you did that and simplified your list.
The 1st overseas trip I ever took with the family was while I was 14. The getaway was India and this
is in the late 1980s. My father was an army colonel & mom had a small string of book shops. While
mother and father started planning the actual trip almost Six months beforehand, we read about the
different places we would check out every day. The 2nd golden rule for holiday travel is you got it -
Plan in Advance!
My dad organized every thing with mom with his army accuracy, lists were created, responsibilities
were allotted to me & my sister (who was older by 3 years) Six months before we're to journey. We
made Three checklists
Common checklist - In which everything that everybody would require and utilize was detailed
(toothpaste, nail clippers etc)
Emergency Checklist - In which doctor prescribed medicines, emergency phone numbers etc were
listed
Personal Checklist - In which our individual items that we would like to carry were detailed (man!
this list was huge!!!)
And then there were the tasks checklist. Dad would book tickets, visa, approval for him to travel (he
was serving then), Mom would take care of the prescription medications, doctor visits, clothes, me
and Emily were instructed to read about places we wanted to go. All Emily wished to do was see
snake charmers & princes (: )!!), me I desired to see the Mount Everest and ride elephants. We had
been so far removed from reality (well considerably far!)
The point I'm stressing here's, if you're travelling international for a family trip, plan as early as
possible. Write everything down in Two-Three lists and then begin taking off items that are not
required. I am sure you don't have to carry Five various kinds of moisturizing lotion. You'll need a
sun block and a moisturiser.
We were assigned merely two bags; I got a duffel and a small back pack. Planning this early,
resulted us in finishing all our travel requirements and bags shopping during sales. This way I
assume we saved nearly 40% of what we'd have paid had we all waited till the last second. So now
you realize why I sent you to money belts
2. This fabulous site is focused on travel needs and is also my current favorite. Within a thirty day
period I've saved close to $800 on bags as well as other vacation need items.
Coming back lets summarize both travel rules we have learnt up to now

And spend less wherever you can! Till the next one, dream about your forthcoming vacation!
