2. ABOUT PANIC ATTACKS
• A panic attack is the abrupt onset of intense fear or
discomfort that reaches a peak within minutes. When
you experience a panic attack the general symptoms are
a surge of anxiety and fear. Your heart will pound and
you might not be able to breathe. Panic attacks can
happen out of the blue with no warning. Sometimes
there isn’t even a reason for the panic attack. They can
happen in your sleep or when you are feeling relaxed.
3. SYMPTOMS OF A PANIC ATTACK:
• Loss of breath and it feels hard to breath
• Deep heaviness and pain in your chest as though an
elephant were sitting on you
• Dizziness
• Spotted vision
• Nausea
• Heart beating quickly
• Body shaking
• Sweating
4. ABOUT PANIC ATTACKS
If you leave your panic attacks untreated it could lead to a
panic disorder or other health problems. Since many of the
symptoms of panic disorder are similar to other health
related issues including heart disease, breathing
disorders, and other illnesses people with panic disorders
often make many trips to the doctor’s office or the
emergency room before figuring out that they have a panic
disorder.

anxiety medications. Depending on the severity of the
