• How many course hours watched on YouTube ?
• 122.670 hours/year = 204 student*year
• 2.8 millions €/year
• Cost of professional training
• 1h professional training in e-learning : 45€ HT
• 8 – 13 millions €/year
But value creation is not benefit !
This is why venture firms have problems with MOOCs while European universities are
developing them on : benefit first / value creation first.

– OER “Open” means :
• freely re-usable (4 freedoms : re-use, remix, sell, modify & redistribute ...)
– MOOC “Open” means :
• wider audience: enrolment is open to all

• Work submitted in advanced track (Plagiarism detection)
• Our 3 research surveys ..
– Is passive data open?
• Traces left when using the MOOC platform: navigation
