respect to products, ideas, or services.

• Classified Advertising
• Display Advertising
• Surrogate Advertising
• Online Advertising
• Mobile Advertising
• Political Advertising
• Public Service Advertising
• Product Advertising
4. Classified Advertising
Classified advertisements are much
cheaper than larger display
advertisements used by businesses,
and are mostly placed by private
individuals with single items they
wish to sell or buy……….
Advertisements in a newspaper are
typically short, as they are charged for
by the line, and one newspaper
column wide.
5. Display Advertising
Display advertising is a type
of advertising that typically contains
text ,logos, photographs or other
images, location maps, and similar
items..
Display advertisements are not
required to contain images, audio, or
video: Textual advertisements are
also used where text may be more
appropriate or more effective.
6. Surrogate Advertising
Surrogate Advertising is a form
of advertising which is used to
promote banned products
like cigarettes and alcohol, in the
disguise of another product. This
type of advertising uses a product of
a fairly close category, as: club
soda, mineral water in case of
alcohol, or products of a completely
different category.

Online advertising, also
called Internet advertising, uses
the Internet to deliver
promotional marketing messages
to consumers.

search engine marketing, social
media marketing, many types
of display advertising (including
web banner advertising),
and mobile advertising
8. Mobile Advertising
In some markets, this type of
advertising is most commonly seen as a
Mobile Web Banner (top of page) or
Mobile Web Poster (bottom of page
banner), while in others, it is
dominated by SMS advertising Other
forms include MMS advertising
9. Political Advertising
The essential task of political advertising is to gain
the confidence of the people for their acceptance
of ideas and, in the case of political campaign
advertising, to influence their vote.
Political advertising differs from commercial
advertising in that the product is either a person
or a philosophy rather than goods and services,
and, in addition, the advertising objectives must
be met within a specific time frame.
10. Public Service Advertising
public service announcement or
advertising (PSA) or public service
ad, are messages in the public
interest disseminated by the media
without charge, with the objective
of raising awareness, changing
public attitudes and behavior
towards a social issue.
11. Product Advertising
Product advertising, or embedded
marketing, is according to
the European union "any form of
audiovisual commercial
communication consisting of the
inclusion of or reference to a
product, a service or the trade
mark thereof so that it is featured
within a program".
