6. During slaughter, the chickens are hung upside down, their throats are slit, and they are dipped into scalding water. This all occurs while the chickens are still conscious and able to feel pain.

8. Chickens are slaughtered at 2 months of age out of a life span of about twelve years. This is a little over one percent of their entire lives.
