5. How would you define emerging technologies? In what context do you think the term, “emerging technologies” is being used in libraries? Do you see anything interesting or problematic in those uses? The term - innovation - comes up a lot when emerging technologies are discussed. What kind of connection do you see between innovation and emerging technologies? Should all libraries adopt emerging technologies? Do all libraries need to be innovative? A lot of libraries jump on the bandwagon of adopting emerging technologies – the typical examples include Facebook, LibGuides, Twitter, etc. What are your thoughts? Are emerging technologies a hype?
