                  8
 Whenever we discuss about
leadership, we cannot avoid but to
look at an exemplary leader in the
    history of mankind.

 The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
always came up tops, even in the
    eyes and evaluation of non-Muslim
    writers.
                                         9
 1. Siddiq / Siddik / Sidiq
Siddiq is correct words and deeds. So it is
impossible if a prophet and the Prophet is
a liar who likes to lie.

 2. Amanah
Amanah means reliable or trustworthy. So
it is impossible if a prophet and the
Prophet was a traitor who like treasonous.

                                                 10
 3. Fathonah / Fathanah / Fatonah
Fathonah is smart, clever or smart. So it is
impossible if a prophet and the Prophet is
a fool and did not understand anything.

 4. Tabligh / Tablik / Tabliq
Tabligh is delivered or treatise wahyu
of Allah to others. So it is impossible if a
prophet and the Prophet hide and
secret revelations / SWT Allah treatise.

                                                   11
 Truthful is needed in
    speech, intention, resolution, fulfillment of
resolution, action and in all stations on
    the path.

 Truthful means consistency between
words and deeds (Beekun et al., 1999).
    Human organizations cannot survive
    without truthfulness (Confucius, 400 BC)
                                                    12
 Is the most important
    characteristic in Islamic value
    system.

 It is not possible that some one is
truthful at his workplace, but a liar
in his personal life, or vice versa.

                                            13
 One has to be truthful from the core of
the heart, not for ostentation but for
  the establishment of moral standards
  in the society.
 Truth leads to a reliable and
  responsible organizational culture
  towards
  shareholders, customers, employees
and the society as a whole.
                                            14
AMANAH - TRUSTED

• Perform their duties diligently and
    responsibly
• He will not “ steal bones”
• He will not take bribes
• He will not perform the task half-
    heartedly

                                          15
 (conveying the message of Islam)
  properly.
 conveys all of the judgments that are
delivered to him to their ummah
without forgetting or confusing any of
  them.
 No missing or extra conveyance is in
  question regarding the issue.
 protected from making mistakes.

                                           16
 Understand the situation
 Take gentle approach and full of
  wisdom
 Able to understand the issues
 Understand the strengths, and
  weaknesses of the people

                                     17
 In the Islamic doctrine, leaders are
either selected or not selected based
on qualities mentioned in the divine
    laws.

 It is worth mentioning that only in Islam
both the criteria of a leader and that
not of leader is laid down in
    detailed, so who gets disqualified?
                                                18
 Allah says in the Qur’an what disqualifies a
    person from becoming a leader,

 “…(Ibrahim) said, “And my offspring (to
make leaders).” (Allah) said, “My Covenant
    (Prophet hood) includes not Zalimun
    (polytheist and wrong doers).””
    Qur'an, 2:124

                                                   19
 This
     verse clearly specifies that a
tyrant cannot be nominated as a
 Muslim leader regardless of other
 excellent qualities that he may
 have

                                      20
 Italso enforces the point that the
 appointment of leaders by
 hereditary means is rejected by
 Islam.

 Islamic
        leaders shall be appointed
 from individuals having
 prerequisite merits.
                                       21
 In another verse, Allah specifies the qualities that
    a leader should have,

 "It was by the mercy of Allah that you (O Prophet)
were lenient with them, for if you had been stern
and hard-hearted, they would have dispersed
from around you. So forgive them and seek
mercy for them and consult with them in the
conduct of affairs. And when you have resolved
[on an issue], then put your trust in Allah. Lo! Allah
loves those who put their trust in Him.” Al-Quran
    3:159

                                                             22
 The above verse highlights a number
of important qualities of a leader.

 A leader must be
    kind, compassionate, and forgiving
towards those whom he leads. If he is
harsh with them, they will abandon
    him.

                                            23
 But this does not mean that a
leader cannot be angry and show
his unhappiness. In fact he has to
do so if his subjects violate the
 shari’ah.

                                      24

 In principle, every man is a leader. The
important role of a leader is mentioned by the
Prophet in his saying which was narrated by
    al-Imam al-Bukhari:

 This means: "Behold! Each one of you is a
leader and every one of you responsible for
    what he lead. "

that is, The Messenger's duty is but to proclaim
(the Message) (al-Maeda 99).

Amanah

As Syura’ 106-107

                    32
 Ibn 'Umar, he said, I heard the Messenger of Allah
  said means:
"Every one of you is a shepherd and each of you
will be asked of his grazing description. Leader is a
shepherd and will be asked of his grazing
description. A man is a shepherd of his family and
will be asked his grazing description. A woman is a
shepherd in her husband's house and will be asked
concerning his grazing. Labour is a shepherd in
employer's property and will be asked concerning
his grazing. So each one of you is a shepherd and
all that would be asked his grazing description.

"(Narrated Muttafaq 'alaih)

                                                        33
 Sidiq, Amanah,Tabligh and Fathonah
is a MUST in order for any organization
to move forward with the times.
 It is because can bring mission and
  vision to the organization.
 It can also be the platform to inspire
dedication in staff in achieving a task
  at hand.

                                            34
 Great leaders with
 Sidiq,Amanah, Tabligh and
fathonah can lead both from the
front and can lead by example.

 Greatleaders are prepared to
 share any hardship with their
 followers, and not abandon them.
