John Willis from Docker, Inc gave a presentation on the state of DevOps. He discussed loose DevOps taxonomies like CAMS (Culture, Automation, Measurement, Sharing) and ICE (Inclusion, Complexity, Empathy). Recent DevOps surveys showed improvements in code quality and testing. Adoption of DevOps in the enterprise is growing through forums and working groups. Technologies supporting DevOps include containers, microservices, and immutable infrastructure. Empathy, collaboration, and a learning culture were emphasized as keys to high performance.
