According to modern historians, the Khmer legend has begun during the period from 68 AD to 550 AD.  An Indian priest following a dream come to Cambodian’s Great Lake to find fortune then met and married a local princess and founded “Funan”, introducing Hindu customs, legal traditions and the Sanskrit Language. Funan is considered to be the first Khmer Kingdom which was the oldest Indianized state in the South East Asia region.  The name of Funan drive from Khmer word   “…?...”

Khmer Ethnics in Cambodia are found in the northeastern provinces of Rattanakiri, Stung Treng, Mondulkiri and Krate. They live in scattered temporary villages that have only a few hundred inhabitants.  These villages usually are governed by a council of local elders or by a village headman. The major Khmer ethnic groups in Cambodia are the Kuy, Phnong, Brao, Jarai, and Rade.  In Khmer word, these groups of Khmer Ethnic is called  “…?...”
 
This is the most culturally and religiously significant event of the year and is celebrated in September. This festival of souls concentrates on blessing the souls of ancestors, relatives and friends who have passed away. Silk has always played a major cultural role in elite Cambodia society, in classical dance, weddings and traditional ceremonies. In older times, the bride would weave silk for her groom, and would change her silk outfits many times during the wedding ceremony.  However, there is a unique type of Silk looks like embroidery, but is actually a tapestry woven with silver and gold thread- was reserved for the high ceremony such as attending ceremonies at the Royal Palace.  This glittering piece of silk is called in Khmer word  "…?..."
 
The rice planting ceremony which usually done by the royal family is a particular ritual of circling the field and then the procession stops and the Brahmins pray to the Gods of Heaven seeking their blessings.  The event sees cows being taken to silver trays which hold rice, corn, beans and other things. The predictions for the coming year are made according to the choices made. The Royal Palace of is a complex of buildings which are the royal abode of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The palace was started after King Norodom relocated the royal capital from Oudong to Phnom Penh after the mid-1800s. It faces towards the East and is situated at the Western bank of four divisions at the Mekong River called Chaktomuk.  Its full name in Khmer Language is  “…?...”
 
A temple-mountain, a forest of 200 gigantic faces in the mysterious glances looking in all the directions, at enigmatic smiles, at beings of another world, in their smiling serenity.  This 3-storeyed temple and 43 m of height, stayed for a long time an enigma. Built in 12th century by Jayavarman VII, first floors are a pantheon dedicated to the gods Khmers of the beginning of its construction, in a time of transition between the Hinduism and the Buddhism. The superior floor is dedicated to Buddha. Fabulous low reliefs of 1200m of length and representing more than 11000 sculptured persons, very long frescoes telling the fights and the naval battles between the Khmers and the Chams, as well as the daily life.
