In this scenario, our OEM “FORD” in Dallas is looking for ABS Brake System from supplier so initially we will create a scheduling agreement with release schedule. Supplier doesn’t have any in stock so after MRP run, it will create a planned order for finished part and requirements for all BOM components.
In this BOM, we will procure electronic motor. We already have scheduling agreement in place with vendor Delco. As this part is Kanban managed, we will display Kanban processing steps in addition to creation of forecast release schedule. Kanban processing includes creation of PO when setting Kanban to empty and also Goods Receipt when making it full.
We will continue to use Kanban for stock transfer from other plant, manufacturing sub assembly and finally for final assembly, we will confirm production via repetitive manufacturing.
