Field Service Management (FSM) is a Technology
demonstration in the Digital Industrial Lab (DIL).
It shows the end to end two way integration between the IoT
devices on the field and the PREDIX IIoT cloud platform.
It consists of the hardware setup that is capable of
connecting to machines, drones and other smart devices. It
can be controlled from cloud platforms. It also has a mobile
application for the Field staff that is integrated with Indoor
Positioning System.
Digital Control Room (DCR) is a framework developed by
our SAP team on top of the SAP Leonardo Platform It
leverages the IoT capabilities of the SAP and provides for UI
development , Analytics as well as other control actions for
the IoT devices
1. To see how two different IoT platforms can complement
each other.
2. Get first hand experience of the practical challenges that
come up during integration
3. Create a demonstration that can be showcased at the
Annual Global event of SAP, i.e. Sapphire where
Capgemini was one of the sponsors.
4. Create a base implementation that can be further
enhanced to make full use of SAP’s various ERP
capabilities apart from IoT
5. Having a setup that can be leveraged by both teams to
showcase integration capabilities to their customers

Setup Description and Events
The setup consists of 2 fans representing 2 assets. One primary and other Backup asset. While primary asset is up, the
data is sent by the PREDIX Machine into the PREDIX cloud. PREDIX Cloud forwards it to the SAP IoT cloud. Onwards to
the DCR Platform
