initially established as a special project of UNIDO. Fully
autonomous since 1994, it runs 46 state-of-the-art
laboratories, in Trieste, Italy, New Delhi, India and Cape

Business objectives realized through the project
Adopting UNiversePath was the primary decision to secure cost in line with the budget.
ICGEB was fully helped and supported by Capgemini that leveraged on its own assets; below main strict
rules adopted to reduce implementation time and costs:
 Ready to run configuration of the agency business scenario
 Minimize customization when our needs can be meet by applying the standard solution by UNiversePath
template.
 Tools to perform automatic test data preparation through S/4HANA Migration Cockpit were fully applied.
 Capgemini UN and S/4HANA Excellence Centers (Italy and India) were able to support the project in
order to identify and mitigate all the technical risks along with support for the execution.
Microsoft Azure was the partner used to minimize the infrastructure TCO (through Virtual Machine)
necessary to run SAP on HANA thanks to an adequate time scheduling (daily Monday to Friday Start-up
and Shotdown, on demand start-up during the week-end) of the systems involved.
