3. So how do we know our emergency backup electrical power system is reliable? The Facilities Department conducts MONTHLY testing of each generator for at least 30 minutes under a test load. In addition, Facilities conducts a “super test” once every three years, for an extended period of time, to be sure our back up plans and equipment are fully capable.
