Before Putting Your Security in place, Have Proper
Security threat Assessment.
Study and Finalize your Probable Threat
Elements[PTE].
Look for a local Security Professional / Expert to
Guide you to implement the Security Set up.

There are various layers of Security for which
different Equipments, security procedures is
required.
The equipment, system, procedure, SOP,
training, Manpower will differ from Ring to
Ring
The Rings of Security are :
Deter
Detect
Assess
Delay
Respond and
Deny
The Degree of security will Differ in each Ring
and Assets you are guarding.

5. Deter
Put the systems which deter the PTE to avoid
your facility.
Make it difficult for them.
Make it Hard Target for PTE.
Clear Zone outside your facility
Put lights
Put barriers
Put Banner, blocks, Signs, Physical Barriers,
Mobile patrolling ,Watch Tower to desist PTE to
look for you as Target.

6. Detection
Put the system like CCTV ,Proximity
system to detect the PTE determined to
enter your facility.
Use Intrusion Detection System [ IDS ] for
Detection.
Have proper system with visibility to
discourage the PTE.
Use CCTV system with Motion Detection
and tracking.

7. Assess
Assess the situation.
Check the threat and degree of threat.
Warn PTE for identification and action.
Set the Alarm for Response team .

8. Delay
When PTE is determined to gain access to your facility,
put proper delay system in place.
Delay system may include walls, Electrical fencing,
Concertina wires, Ditch, Dense Shrub.
Physical Team will be most effective tool to deal the
situation.
The delay is to ensure that your response is in place.

9. Respond
Once the PTE enter the facility ,response
system should start.
Attach lights, siren, warning system with your
IDS to give early warning to PTE and
Response Team.
Initiate Physical response by Local Security
Team, Staff and Police Team.

10. Deny
Ensure all your actions are centered
against saving of your Assets.
The Asset can be your People, Design,
Product, Services, valuables , weapons or
any thing for which your organization is
working.
Put All the activities centered around your
Asset.
