14. NEWGRANGE
Newgrange is a 5000 year old active solstice site. It is
made of stone structures called cairns. It is used to
track and record movements of the sun. Ancient people
used this for their calendar.
20. Outside of the Buckingham Palace, there are guards that act
like soldiers. The guards are very serious about their job.
They are not allowed to talk to anyone. Every day at the same
time they change places with a new set of guards. This is done
very neatly and organized. People come from all over to watch
this happen....
21. Buckingham Palace is where the Queen of England lives. It has
many rooms and is decorated with lots of expensive things.
22. Trafalgar Square is a famous place where people gather to
meet. There are large fountains, waterfalls, and big statues to
see.
23. At Last….. London is famous for Cadbury Chocolate
bars and eggs. Take a break from traveling and have a
delicious candy bar!
35. The Climate in Scotland is Cool and Rainy. Gardens grow
well here. Many people in Scotland are so interested in
gardening that they form clubs and travel together to visit
famous ones.
36. This instrument is called Bagpipes. It is a combination instrument
that can make more than one note at once. Bagpipes are often used
in parades in America because a marcher can play them and they
are loud!
