1. Do not use the default “admin” as your user name.
2. Use a strong and unique password. eg. sb/9KDr_kH(8itqowC
3. Keep WordPress up-to-date.
4. Keep your theme up-to-date.
5. Keep all your plugins up-to-date.
6. Delete any unused themes or plugins.
7. Be careful of giving out your login info.
8. Delete any other WordPress installs you may have abandoned
