A political party breaks new ground
by opening its policy process
PROJECT SHOWCASE
At the outset of the project, there were
some doubts within the Ontario Liberal
Party. Would people participate? Would
the team of volunteers overseeing the
campaign be able to keep up? Would it be
hijacked by supporters of other parties?
Using IdeaScale and NationBuilder
effectively, the campaign team succeeded.
Over 12,000 people from all over the
province contributed 1,701 ideas, discussed
those ideas and cast over 116,000 votes.
