2. What is textile design?
Textile design is the process of creating designs
and structures for weaving, knitting, printing, fabric
painting or ornamentation of fabrics.
In practice it is the production of designs for saris,
dress materials, furnishings, carpets and such
textile products.
All beautiful textile products are created first on
paper and then production carried out with help of
different raw materials ,different actions leading
finally to finished product.
Today the professional textile designers use some
form of computer aided design software especially
created for the purpose for saving time and to get
more accuracy.
