Mise-en-scene refers to everything presented to the viewer within the frame of a shot, including color, costume, props, set/location, performance, and lighting. These six elements are used purposefully to convey meaning and influence the audience's interpretation. For example, dark colors may suggest an evil character, white could represent innocence, and red is often used to signify blood or danger. Costumes provide cultural context and influence how audiences perceive characters. Props must be chosen and handled deliberately, whether for a tense police interview or romantic first date. Blocking, lighting, and location are also manipulated to establish mood and immerse the viewer. Together, these components of mise-en-scene shape the story and
