ETHICAL CONSUMERISM
DEFINITION IS A TYPE OF CONSUMER ACTIVISM THAT IS BASED ON THE CONCEPT OF DOLLAR VOITING. IT IS PRACTISED THROUGH “POSITIVE BULLYING” IN THAT ETHICAL PRODUCTS ARE FAVOURED.
PURPOSE • ITS PURPOSE IS TO REDUCE MASSIVE AND UNNECESSARY CONSUMISM BY CHANGING PEOPLES’ HABITS AND MAKING THEM BUY REALLY NECESSARY THINGS. OTHER PURPOSES IS TO REDUCE POLLUTION AND TO ADQUIRE SOCIAL EQUILITY.
HOW TO BE PART OF THE ETHICAL CONSUMERISM • BE ECOLOGIST AND AVOID POLLUTION • BUY THINGS THAT ARE ONLY NECESSARY • BEFORE BUYING ANYTHING, SEARCH ITS PROCESS OF MANUFACTURING AND ITS ENVIROMENTAL IMPACT. • REJECT PLASTIC BAGS IN SUPERMARKETS • RECYCLE • AVOID CANS AND PACKAGED PRODUCTS • USE BIODEGRADABLE PRODUCTS. • BUY PRODUCTS AT CERTAIN VIRTUAL STORES THAT PROMOTES ETHICAL CONSUMERISM.
EFFECTS IN SOCIETY • MONEY OBTAIN BY THE SOLD PRODUCTS ARE USED FOR HELPING PEOPLE AND THE PLANET. THEY HELP SOCIAL FOUNDATIONS IN DIFFERENT ÁREAS LIKE EDUCACIÓN, HEALTH, ENVIROMENT, HUMAN RIGHTS AND DEVELOPMENT.
