Digipak’s typically consist of a gatefold paperboard or card stock outer building, with Its had one or more plastic trays capable of holding a CD or DVD attached to the inside. Pros of a Digipak are; looks nice, don’t crack like jewel cases and can be more environmentally friendly. Cons of a Digipak are; it’s more expensive to produce, can rip and peel apart and the trays in the Digipak can break more often.
17. Radiohead; Hail To The Thief (Special Edition) This Digipak isn’t the traditional Digipak Registered to AGI Media, instead it Is their own version of one which makes it a digi-pack. It does not have a traditional Digipak gatefold. The audience would expect this digi-pack to have a different layout; which it does take in the form of how a map is folded and designed. The overall design does lend itself to this genre of music Radiohead make, as they make Indie music the theme and design they have gone for is quite true to their style. The additional material has been packaged appropriately, and keeps with the style and design of the digi-pack. The good points about this digi-pack are that it keeps with the style of the band. The points that could be improved are that it seems like it needs more bonus Stuff, which the fans would be expecting.
