141. It’s more like a competition. You are not there to learn
knowledge but to maximize and exert your capabilities
to compete with others based on what you have
already known and built.
142.
143. They just don’t teach you knowledge but share their
thoughts when you tutorialize with them. Some tutors
are like dropping by the studio with very shallow
involvements, and some are just not persuasive or
strong enough to lead you.
144.
145. They lead disorderly. They give you project exercises
to exhaust you without giving you enough time to
conduct deep research.
146.
147. They don’t have core knowledge (or say know-how) in
terms of their design education. They just give you
different types of set situations in each module and ask
you to figure out and propose solutions.
It’s more like squeezing your brain and training you to
become a quick and productive design engineer, but
less like making you a design thinker equipped with
sufficient capabilities to “change the world”.
148.
149. In sum, it’s not what I have expected in terms of
learning design/design thinking @ the world’s best
design school.
