and type « SALES DIRECTOR » in the jobtitle field
You will search only in the job title
You will search for the exact term « sales director » by using quotation marks
You can select only the « Current job »
4. BOOLEAN OPERATORS
Quotation marks is not the only trick…
You can also use Boolean operators :
AND : will search both terms
OR : will search one of the terms
NOT : will exclude the second term
Example : « sales director » AND software
Example : « sales director » OR « marketing director »
Example : sales NOT executive
5. BOOLEAN OPERATORS
You can combine them,
and group them with parenthesis
(« CEO » OR « Director ») AND (« board member »
OR « co-founder » OR « founder »)
6. SAVING SEARCH QUERIES
Linkedin allows you to save searches
And see news profiles matching the next time
Therefore, if you save the query « Sales Director »
you will be able to search
profiles that have been promoted
7. COMPANIES AND SUBSIDIARIES
If you search for people working at Salesforce
you won’t have people working at subsidiaries
such as Heroku or Pardot
In order to have them, go to the company page
And click on « How you are connected » and then « See all »
8. LINKEDIN PREMIUM / SALES NAVIGATOR
If you are using Linkedin as a free user :
You don’t have access to all search filters
You are limited to 10 pages and 10 results per page
You number of searches is limited
You should really consider using Linkedin Sales Navigator
9. MORE RESULTS ON SALES NAVIGATOR
By default, you can see 10 results per page on Sales Navigator
In order to see 100 per page,
just search for the url parameter count=10
and change it to count=100
You can then add profiles faster to Datananas
10. ENLARGE YOUR NETWORK
The number of profiles you can see depends on your network
If everyone has 750 direct contacts, you’ll have access to :
7 500 2nd level relations, if you have 10 contacts
75 000 2nd level relations, if you have 100 contacts
375 000 2nd level relations, if you have 500 contacts
1 500 000 2nd level relations, if you have 2 000 contacts
So, everytime you meet with someone… add them to Linkedin !
