likeness..Gen 1:26
I, the Lord God, said unto mine Only Begotten; Behold, the
man is become as one of us. PGP Moses 1:32
For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that
are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or
dominions, or principalities, or power; all things were created
by Him, and for Him; and He is before all things, and by Him
all things consist. Colos 1:16-17
“It would appear unnecessary to cite at great
length in substantiating our affirmation that
Jesus Christ was God even before He assumed a
body of flesh.” J C page 38
4. The Preexistence CHRIST “The Being who is known
among men as Jesus of
Nazareth…existed with the
Father prior to birth in the
flesh; and that in the
preexistent state He was chosen
and ordained to be the one and
only Savior and Redeemer of

6. After joining with Adam in the creation of this world,
Jesus became the Jehovah of the Old Testament BEFORE
HIS EARTHLY BIRTH.
Jehovah (Jesus) guided the prophets as Amos testified:
“Surely the lord god will do nothing, but he revealeth his
secret unto his servants the prophets.” 3:7
Jehovah caused the flood to baptize and cleanse the earth
in the Days of Noah
Jehovah brought the Jaredites to the New World after the
Tower of Babel.
Jehovah led Moses and the Israelites out of Egypt.
Jehovah led the family of Lehi to the New World.
Jehovah visited Nehemiah, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel,
Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah,
Zechariah, Malachi, and the prophets of the Book of
Mormon prior to his earthly birth.
7. The actuality of His birth in the flesh as
the natural issue of divine and mortal
parentage.
“Born of a mortal
mother He inherited
the capacity to die;
begotten by an
immortal Sire he

heritage the power to
withstand death

8. 1 Nephi 11: MARY THE MOTHER OF JESUS
• 15. And I said unto him; A virgin, most beautiful and
fair above all other virgins.
• 16. And he said unto me; knowest thou the
condescension of God?
• 18. And he said unto me; behold the virgin whom thou
seest is the mother of the Son of God, after the
manner of the flesh.
• 19. And it came to pass that I beheld that she was carried
away in the spirit; and after she had been carried away in
the Spirit for the space of a time the angel spake unto
me, saying; Look!
• 20. And I looked and beheld the virgin again, bearing a
child in her arms.
• 21. And the angel said unto me; Behold the lamb of
God, yea, even the son of the Eternal Father!
9. God, who is infinite and
immortal, condescends to step
down from his throne, to join
with one who is finite and
mortal in bringing forth, "after
the manner of the flesh," the
Mortal Messiah.
(the Mortal Messiah by McConkie Vol 1 Chap 1)
10. Jesus Christ was to be born of mortal
woman, but was not the offspring of
mortal man….In our Lord alone has
been fulfilled the word of God spoken in
relation to the fall of Adam, that the
seed of the woman (JESUS) should
have power to overcome Satan by
bruising the serpent’s head.” JC 82
Had the Jews been in power at the time of the Birth of
Jesus Christ, He, Jesus Christ would have been the King of
the Jews through the lineage of his Mother, Mary and/or
through the lineage of the man whom everyone thought
to be His father, Joseph. They were cousins and were the
heirs of the royalty of the House of David.
11. D & C 93:
11 And I, John, bear record that I beheld his glory as the glory of the Only
Begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth, even the Spirit of truth, which
came and dwelt in the flesh, and dwelt among us.
12 And I, John, saw that he received not of the fullness at the first, but
received grace for grace;
13 And he received not of the fullness at first, but continued from grace to grace,
until he received a fullness
14 And thus he was called the Son of God, because he received not of the fullness
at the first.
15 And I, John, bear record, and lo, the heavens were opened, and the Holy Ghost
descended upon him in the form of a dove, and sat upon him, and there came a
voice out of heaven saying: This is my beloved Son.
16 And I, John, bear record that he received a fullness of the glory of the Father;
17 And he received all power both in heaven and on earth, and the glory of the
Father was with him, for he dwelt in him.
12. Luke 2:40 And the child grew, and waxed
strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the
grace of god was upon him.
At 12 his parents found him in the temple,
sitting in the midst of doctors…all that
heard him were astonished at his
understanding and answers.” 2:46-47
52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and
stature, and in favour with God and man.
13. Isa: 53: 2 Forhe shall grow up before him as a tender plant,
and as a root out of dry ground; he hath no form nor
comeliness; and when we shall see him there is no
beauty that we should desire him.
3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows,
and acquainted with grief; and we hid as it were our faces
from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he has borne our grief's, and carried our sorrows;
yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and
afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was
bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace
was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
15. He raised people from the dead (Lazarus, Daughter of
Jairus & the Widow’s Son)
He fasted and prayed to prepare himself for his 3 year
mission and then he went among the people.
He many times physically and spiritually fed his disciples.
He taught in the road, in the synagoges, on mountains, by
the well, by the sea, in the boats, in the cities and in the
dwelling places of the people.
He was honored by strangers and rejected by His own.
He was baptized at 30 by one having the authority, by
immersion at which event God the Father appeared to
confirm and approve the same, after which he received the
Holy Ghost.
16. He healed the sick and caused the lame to walk.
He contended with Lucifer and cast out devils.
He blessed the little children wherever He went.
He called 12 apostles and organized a Church.
He “taught them as one having authority, and not as the
scribes.”
He washed the feet of the Apostles and gave them ordinances
and the sacrament.
He was transfigured with Peter, James and John to prepare them
for priesthood leadership.
He lived the perfect life. He showed the way to walk in the light
He taught us to Pray, to ask, to seek, to knock
He set the perfect example.

What other man has been without sin, and therefore
wholly exempt from the dominion of Satan, and
to whom death, the wage of sin, is not naturally

HIS COMMANDMENTS
D & C 19: 15 Therefore I command you to repent—repent, lest I smite
you by the rod of my mouth, and by my wrath, and by my anger, and
your sufferings be sore—how sore you know not, how exquisite you
know not, yea, how hard to bear you know not.
16 For behold, I, God, have suffered these things for all, that
they might not suffer if they would repent
17 But if they would not repent they must suffer even as I;
18 Which suffering caused myself, even God, the greatest of all, to
tremble because of pain, and to bleed at every pore, and to suffer both
body and spirit—and would that I might not drink the bitter cup, and
shrink—
21. "17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father."
JOHN 10:
17 Therefore doth my Father love me,
because I lay down my life, that I might
take it again.
18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it
down of myself. I have power to lay it
down, and I have power to take it again.
This commandment have I received of
my Father."
22. JUSTICE: And (Jesus) shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions
and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled
which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his
people. And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands
of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their
infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the
flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people
according to their infirmities. Now the spirit knoweth all things;
nevertheless the son of God suffereth according to the flesh that he
might take upon him the sins of his people, that he might blot out their
transgressions according to the power of his deliverance; and now
behold, this is the testimony which is in me. Alma 7:11-13
MERCY:
2 Nephi 25:23 For we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all
we can do.
24. Mark 14: Mark said he was “sore amazed, …and
very heavy.”
Jesus said: “My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto
death…
“And he…fell on the ground, and prayed… Abba,
Father, all things are possible unto thee; take
away this cup from me; nevertheless not what I
will, but what thou wilt” 34-36
Savior cried out from the cross “My God, my
God, why hast thou forsaken me?” Mathew 27:46

26. The Angel said to the women at the tomb:
“Fear not ye; for I know that ye seek Jesus,
which was crucified. He is not here; for he
is risen, as he said. Come, see the place
where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and
tell his disciples that he is risen from the
dead; and behold, he goeth before you into
Galilee; there shall ye see him; lo, I have
told you.” Matt 28:5-7
Peter and John came to the tomb and found him not: “For as
yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from
the dead.” EVEN the apostles did not understand or believe
in the resurrection.
27. While yet living Jesus testified: “Verily, verily I say
unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the
dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God; and they
that hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in
himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in
himself; and hath given him authority to execute
judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Marvel
not at this; for the hour is coming, in the which all
that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall
come forth; they that have done good, unto the
resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto
the resurrection of damnation. John 5:25-29
Missionary labor among the dead was inaugurated by
the Christ; who of us can doubt that it has been
continued by His authorized servants. J the C 675
28. After all that Christ had taught concerning His
rising from the dead on that third day, the
apostles were unable to accept the actuality of
the occurrence; to their minds the resurrection
was some mysterious and remote event, not a
present possibility. Jesus the Christ 683

New World and a voice which said: “Behold, I am Jesus Christ the Son of
God. I created the heavens and the earth, and all things that in them
are. I was with the Father from the beginning.
“Behold, for such I have laid down my life, and have taken it up again;
therefore repent, and come unto me ye ends of the earth, and be saved.”
Christ had risen; and following Him many of the righteous dead on the
western continent rose from their graves and appeared as resurrected,
immortalized being among the survivors of the land wide destruction;
even as in Judea many of the Saints had been raised immediately after
the resurrection of Christ.” JC 724
30. “About six weeks or more after the events last considered (the voice of
the Lord to the Nephites) a great multitude of the Nephites had
assembled at the temple in the land called Bountiful, …they heard a
sound as of a Voice above.
Behold my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, in whom I have
glorified my name; hear ye him.” JC 725
Jesus appeared to the Nephites at Bountiful and said: Behold I am
Jesus Christ, whom the prophets testified shall come into
the world; and behold, I am the light and the life of the
world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the
Father hath given me, and have gloried the Father in taking
upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered
the will of the Father in all things from the beginning.”
Jesus Christ made similar visits to his OTHER SHEEP.
