why eWomenNetwork is • Learn what help or resources you need to meet your objectives
considered the #1 resource for
promoting women and their You will have a chance to introduce yourself and tell others what you do. You will also partake
businesses. in what we call a “Wisdom Circle”. It is hard for me to put into words how this will impact you
and your business. You have time to share where you might be stuck or need help in your
business and then we brainstorm specific ideas, resources, etc . to get you the help you need.
Don’t miss this opportunity to network with other professional women and receive the
connections and ideas you need to propel your business!
So what can you do to approach networking from a prospective that at the end of the day
leads to increased business:
1) Developing a network is a process and it’s about building relationships. A key
objective of effective networking is to find out about others: their concerns, problems,
need and wants.
2) Become a problem-solver & resource. Listen for problems you can help others solve
either directly or by referring them to someone in your network. We will conduct a
“Wisdom Circle” during the event. This is a time for you to share where you are stuck or
ask for advice on how to move forward.
3) Practice the art of “questioning”. The simplest way to do this is with the “X” words:
Example, Expand and Explain. When an answer is given acknowledge the response
with a confirming statement.
4) Be curious – Develop a true interest in others, what they do and what they need.
5) Recap and stay in touch. Develop a process of credibility through a consistent and
effective follow-up system.
6) Focus on giving, not getting and don’t keep score. If you look for ways to assist
others you will be rewarded for you efforts both directly and indirectly.
In addition to the ultimate reward of increased business, effectively developing your network
will bring you:

As the founder of eWomenNetwork¸ Sandra Yancey, states: “A strong network brings power
to make things happen and provides a safety net when things aren’t going so well.”
Before you can start developing your network you first have to be able to effectively and
efficiently communicate: Who you are, what you have to offer, who your client(s) is/are and
what your needs are.
