2. What is energy?
Energy is the ability of an object to
transform itself or to produce changes
in other objects.
3. Types of energy
Kinetic energy: exists as movement.
Potential energy: exsits as potential
movements.
Chemical energy: is stored in certain
chemical substances.
Electrical energy: is energy in the form
of electricity.
Thermal energy: is energy in the form
of heat.
4. Types of energy
Light energy: is energy in the form of
light.
Nuclear energy: is stored in the atomic
structure of all matter.
5. Energy transformation
Energy can change from one type to
another. You can`t create or destroy
energy.
6. Non renewable energy
Non renewable sources are limited
because nature doesn`t replace them.
They also cause pollution.
7. Types of non renewable
energy
Ucranium: is a radioactive material.
Petroleum: is a black liquid that forms
underground. It is used to make fuel
oil, diesel fuel and petrol.
Coal: is a black rock. Coal is used as
a fuel.
Natural gas: is a mixture of gases that
forms naturally underground. Many
people also use gas to heat water and
cook.
8. Renewable energy
Renewable sources of energy are
unlimited because they are replaced
naturally.
9. Types of renewable energy
Hidraulic energy: water that is moving.
Solar energy: from the Sun.
Biofuels energy: from plants and
animals.
Wind energy: from the movements of
the air.
