5th Grade Overnight Trip to Long Beach Marine Aquarium

The 5th grade class from Nestle Elementary will have their annual overnight trip to the Long Beach Marine Aquarium. On Thursday afternoon they will depart from school and arrive at the aquarium where they will learn about ocean animals, participate in hands-on activities, and watch a 3D movie. Students will spend the night at the aquarium and depart to return to school on Friday morning. They are reminded to pack lightly with essential items and that cell phones and other electronics are not permitted.

- 12. What to Bring: pillow Sleeping bag Sweat pants/shirt to sleep in camera Ground pad (optional) Personal toiletries
- 13. Students will need to carry their own belongings up the stairs DO NOT OVER-PACK! One small overnight bag with one change of clothes is all you need.
- 14. Money for gift shop is optional. All students will receive a Long Beach Marine Aquarium T-shirt
- 15. What NOT to bring: NO CELL PHONES NO FLASHLIGHTS NO FISHING EQUIPMENT NO FOOS OTHER THAN WATER
- 16. Aquarium staff are first aid/CPR trained There is 24- hour security Medications can be refrigerated
- 17. Thursday, June 2nd Students are expected to attend all classes today Depart Nestle approx 3:00 pm Friday, June 3rd Depart Aquarium approx. 7:30 am Students are expected to attend classes after our return to Nestle.
