2. Overview When the sun’s fuel is used up, its core will shrink and its outer layers will expand (red giant), swallowing the nearby planets. 3. The Stability of the Sun Hydrogen Burning Shell The sun contains huge amounts of matter, which produces a large gravitational force that squeezes the star inwards. The Holy Qur’an on the Fate of the Sun God says in the Holy Qur’an what means, "When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up " [81: 1] This is a matchless metaphor for describing the sun as it loses its light. Takwir means to fold up; hence takwir al- `amamah means folding up the turban on the head. 10. The Holy Qur’an is in Agreement with Science The Holy Qur’an uses the Arabic word ”Kwe’rat” in the place of “folded up”. The word can be translated, according to Qur’an expounders, as: Folded up (like a turban) It is scientifically known that stars like the sun always explode forming a nebula that looks like a turban. Made like a ball It is known that the sun is not completely spherical. Also, it triggers flames, which will all disappear when the sun collapses. 13. So What Will Happen When the Sun Comes Close to the Earth? The Fate of the Moon The outer layers of the sun will expand and will engulf the moon, which will have already moved towards the sun. 14. The Fate of the Seas When the sun comes closer to the earth, the water of the oceans will boil. It will be set on fire because water will be decomposed into its two elements which are Hydrogen and Oxygen. The first will cause explosion and the second will set the seas on fire. 15. Sufferings on the Earth When the sun comes close to the earth, the outer crust will be broken and the earth will suffer from frightening quakes and volcanoes will erupt. The physical appearance of the earth will be changed and extended causing all the stuff within it to be expelled. The Holy Qur’an refers to the same facts. 16. “ The earth will be lifeless rock” says a scientists. The Holy Qur’an says in this regard: And indeed, We will make that which is upon it [into] a barren ground. (18:8) The fate of the mountains The mountains will be affected by the massive earthquakes and volcanoes.
