1. Storify is a social media curation
tool. Create links from across the
web, including tweets, photos, web-links, etc. to create a
curated story-line for others to read.
Pedagogical Uses
Great to give an overview of a particular topic, to/from
students.
Encouraging students to curate material well. This could
include critical interpretations of material online.
Research Uses
Regularly used to give feedback from conferences &
events
Setting Up an Account
Go to http://
storify.com/.
Select ‘Sign Up Now’.
Choose whether you sign in via Face-
book, Twitter or Storify-only login.
Setting up Your Profile
Add a picture and your profile details.
It helps others to find you, and know
whether their interests will align with
yours.

2. Create a Story
Look to the top-left for ‘Create Story’.
Add a headline, such as ‘2012 Summer Olympic Games’
Add a description to encourage viewers to read further.
Adding Material
Search within the associated
platform for stories relating to your
topic. If your event has a #hashtag,
it’s easy to trace the materials. Note
that you ‘add them all’, or drag &
drop one at a time. To add URLs, use
the grey ‘link’ button on the far-right. To add comments,
hover between entries in the left-hand
panel and ‘Click to add text’.
Publishing Your Story
Select ‘Publish’, or just ‘Save Now’ if
not yet ready. All ‘Storifys’ can be re-edited in future.
