YOGA FOR CHILDREN



    New insights into the current needs of children in terms of growth and development is in
      the forefront.

    There is a shift in our attitude towards human health with greater emphasis being placed
      on behavioral, social and preventive aspects of child health.

    Today, children are getting extremely stressed both at home and at school, with mounting
      pressure to excel in order to be successful in life.

    This results in various stress disorders like stammering, bedwetting, overweight, back
      pain, fear, anxiety, and so on.



    Simple yoga practices will help children to calm down the mind, to relax completely, and
      to slowdown the breath.

    Animal poses, bird poses will stretch all the limbs beautifully and yet very alert.

    It helps in improving attention, concentration, creativity, memory, and also physical
      stamina, dexterity, and strength.

    It makes you use your maximum potential and your personality will flower



What are the practices ?

    Respiratory training (pranayama and energy flow); It brings into action all the lobes of
      the lungs for utilization. It normalizes the breathing rate. It develops awareness of
      breathing. Makes the breathing uniform, continuous, and rhythmic, which is a very
      healthy sign.

    Postural training (Asana/physical postures); helps in stamina, strength and dexterity.

    Relaxation training – guided deep relaxation technique

    Concentration training – Meditation, body awareness, focussing & gazing.
